Amelia Earhart

Amelia Mary Earhart (1897–1937) was an American aviator and writer — the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic and a tireless promoter of aviation and of women in flight. She was also a genuine author, publishing 20 Hrs., 40 Min. (1928) and The Fun of It (1932), with Last Flight assembled posthumously in 1937.
