Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs carries a collective story credit — Ted Sears, Richard Creedon, Otto Englander, Dick Rickard, Earl Hurd, Merrill De Maris, Dorothy Ann Blank and Webb Smith — and the picture was developed through Disney’s story meetings rather than from one writer’s draft, so naming any one of them as the author of this line would be a guess. The characters who speak it are fictional: Queen Grimhilde, voiced by Lucille La Verne, addressing the Slave in the Magic Mirror, voiced by Moroni Olsen.
