Drew “Bundini” Brown (1928–1987) was Muhammad Ali’s cornerman and assistant trainer from 1963 through the end of his career, and one of his unofficial “speech writers.” A Florida-born showman who had earlier worked Sugar Ray Robinson’s corner, Brown supplied much of the rhyming theatre of the Ali era — most famously the couplet “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.”
