Larry Collins

1944–2024 · American guitarist and songwriter · of The Collins Kids

Larry Collins was a rockabilly prodigy, playing guitar on television alongside his sister Lorrie as The Collins Kids while still a child. In adulthood he turned to writing, co-authoring “Delta Dawn” with Alex Harvey and, later, “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma” with Sandy Pinkard. He died in Santa Clarita, California in January 2024.
