Nelson Mandela

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela spent 27 years imprisoned under apartheid before leading South Africa’s transition to democracy and serving as its first Black president from 1994 to 1999. He genuinely made education a lifelong theme — his authentic line “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” is well documented — which is precisely why fabricated “education” aphorisms attach so easily to his name. There is, however, no record of him producing the atomic-bombs-versus-cheating passage.
