Peter Drucker

1909–2005 · Management theorist & writer

Peter Ferdinand Drucker was an Austrian-born American management consultant and author, often called the founder of modern management thinking. Because his name lends instant authority to any business maxim, he has become a magnet for unsourced aphorisms — and this is one of them. He wrote extensively about organizational culture (in a 1991 Wall Street Journal piece he called culture “singularly persistent”), but the punchy “eats strategy for breakfast” wording is found nowhere in his work.
