Stewart cut the song for A Night on the Town in 1976 and released it as a single the following year. In the UK it went to No. 1 for four weeks as a double A-side with “I Don’t Want to Talk About It”; in the US it reached No. 21. The record is superb, and it is the reason the song is still in wide circulation — the only error in the popular account is chronological.
