Who really said it
Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit
The thought is Hill’s; the sentence is not. The wording appears in none of the Hill books we were able to search in full — Think and Grow Rich (1937), the sixteen Law of Success lessons, The Magic Ladder to Success (1930) and Outwitting the Devil — and no site carrying it names a book, chapter or page. What Hill did write, in the persistence chapter of Think and Grow Rich, is that Broadway pays off “only after one has refused to QUIT.”
