Who really said it

Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality

Not Albert Einstein — actually Darryl Anka, channeling ‘Bashar’ Darryl Anka
Attribution status: Disputed Reuse status: In copyright

This is a New Age channeling passage, not physics. Quote Investigator found the earliest version on bashar.org (page “The Ides of March,” archived 8 April 2000, copyright Darryl Anka 1996), where the words are credited to Anka’s claimed extraterrestrial entity “Bashar” — not to Einstein. It appears in none of Einstein’s writings and is absent from The Ultimate Quotable Einstein.

Disputed credit — copy with the correction

“Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality” Not Albert Einstein. The wording comes from Darryl Anka's channeled "Bashar" material, copyright 1996 (per Quote Investigator).

The slide-ready mistake: crediting this to Albert Einstein. Use the credit shown above instead.

In context

Evoking the world of Darryl Anka — American–Canadian channeler & visual-effects artist. Theme: "Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality". Atmospheric and restrained, cinematic directional light, a muted period-appropriate palette, fine grain and texture. Compose with generous empty space for the quote and a small credit line. No lettering in the image itself.

Minimalist

Minimalist editorial slide for the quote "Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality". Clean background, a single muted accent color, generous negative space, subtle paper or linen texture, no literal illustration — let the words carry it. Reserve clear space for a serif quote and a small credit line. No lettering in the image itself.

How we verified this

  • Quote Investigator concludes there is “no substantive evidence” Einstein said this and traces it to Darryl Anka’s “Bashar” channeling.
  • The earliest known copy is an Internet Archive capture of bashar.org from 8 April 2000, carrying a 1996 copyright in Darryl Anka’s name.
  • The line does not appear in Alice Calaprice’s The Ultimate Quotable Einstein, the standard reference for verifying Einstein quotations.
  • Anka, a Hollywood visual-effects artist, has publicly channeled “Bashar” since 1983; see his official bio.

Fact-check

How Einstein got the credit

A New Age channeling line acquired a physicist’s name because the passage ends with the word “physics” — and Einstein is the internet’s default authority for anything that sounds scientific and profound.

The whole quoteAlbert Einstein Fabricated attribution

Quote Investigator found no substantive evidence Einstein ever said it, and it is absent from The Ultimate Quotable Einstein. The earliest copies credit Darryl Anka, not Einstein.

The added sentence “This is not philosophy.”Later online embellishers Paraphrase drift

The 1996 Bashar original reads “…It can be no other way. This is physics.” The extra sentence “This is not philosophy” was inserted as the meme spread, per Quote Investigator.

The words are Darryl Anka’s “Bashar” channeling from 1996, not Einstein — and they describe no known physics, as Quote Investigator documents.

Context

Why the credit stuck

The line fuses two things people badly want to be compatible: hard science and the “law of attraction.” Ending on “This is physics” invites the reader to treat wishful thinking as a law of nature — and slapping Einstein’s name on top completes the illusion of authority.

In reality the passage is textbook New Age metaphysics from Darryl Anka’s Bashar sessions. “Matching frequencies” to summon a chosen reality is not a statement any physicist would recognize; energy and frequency in physics don’t work that way.

It ends with “This is physics” — which is exactly why it isn’t Einstein’s, and isn’t physics.

Darryl Anka is a Hollywood visual-effects artist (credits include Star Trek: The Motion Picture) who since 1983 has publicly “channeled” an entity he calls Bashar, described as an extraterrestrial from the future.
