Who really said it
Love a man even in his sin, for that is the semblance of Divine Love
This one is real. It appears in The Brothers Karamazov, Book VI, chapter 3, in the section headed “Of Prayer, of Love, and of Contact with other Worlds” — spoken by the dying elder Zosima. The familiar English wording is Constance Garnett’s translation, and it is confirmed word for word in the Project Gutenberg text ↗ and in a scanned Heinemann printing.
