The line is a remark Sheilah Graham says he made to her in Hollywood, first printed in her 1958 memoir Beloved Infidel about two decades after the conversation; it has not been found in anything he wrote — Quote Investigator traces it only to Graham’s memoir, and Wikiquote’s Fitzgerald page does not carry it at all.
