Who really said it
No longer talk at all about the kind of man that a good man ought to be, but be such
This is a genuine line from Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations, Book X, section 16, in the classic 1862 translation by George Long. The wording is confirmed verbatim against the George Long text — though the far more viral “Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.” is a modern paraphrase, not any historical translation.
