Who really said it
Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage
This one is real, and the wording is exact. The sentence appears verbatim in Brown’s Rising Strong, first published in 2015 — a full-text search of the scanned book returns it inside her “arena” passage, sandwiched between her definition of vulnerability as showing up without control over the outcome and her line about the cheap seats. What travels badly is the source, not the words: it is regularly filed under the wrong book, and often blended with the different wording she used in her 2012 TED talk.
